konnekt
Today, I bought a wonderful piece of Gibson creation. Les Paul Collectors Choice #2 Goldie. I've never planned to buy Goldie but I wanted to buy another Tom Murphy aged Les Paul. I was lack of knowledge of Goldie. It sounds incredible. I couldn't resist to pay. My Goldie is #135. I'm curious whether the red-painted crack is originally crafted or not. I bought it from the authorized reseller so I don't think it's counterfeit. I want to make sure that the painted crack is originally intended not accidentally cracked-off. Thank you
cjsinla
This one has the same chip on it. I believe they said it was number 50. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivwFVqyTTsg
konnekt
Thank you for your reply. Yeah, they said one they were playing was #50. I'm still curious why gibson have made small differences between the same cc model. They emphasise on the very exact replica. Thank you again. All the wood is different and they try to match them as best as they can. And, the aging is done by hand. So, they will all look different. It would be impossible to make them exactly the same.
