Mixstar
According to Gibson service my special has P-100's. I haven't had time to 'take the lid off' yet and have a look so I can only go on what they say but I suspect they are right. This is what Gibson service sent me: The guitar plays beautifully but I was wondering if there is anything to be gained by replacing the pick ups and, if so, what does anyone suggest? Also I notice 'junior' is mentioned in the write-up but I was under the impression the junior was a single pick up machine? Cheers, -Mick
cjsinla
I believe that is why yours is called a 'Special'. But, usually Specials (SG's, Les Pauls) have two P90's.
Mixstar
Thanks, I ended up having a look at the pups and they are definitely P100's. No biggy, it's just nice to know what you've got
