POSH Guitars
Hi there. Please can you help me identify my Les Paul model. Serial number is 116710491. Model Number LPTDSZSHCH3 I've tried the model number online and it says that it should be honey burst, mines Pelham Blue....? The pickups in it also seem odd - the neck looks like a '57 classic, but has a sticker saying Rhythm PRO on it, the Bridge is a Gibson stamped backplate but has 4 conductor wiring..... The finish also appears very Matt - and the rear looks as if someone has rubbed it with wire wool!
btoth76
Hello! That's a 2011 Traditional PRO - if I am right. But it rather looks like "Chicago Blue" than "Pelham Blue". The latter is lighter in color. Are there coil-splits on volume pots? http://www.google.se/imgres?um=1&hl=en&biw=1259&bih=804&tbm=isch&tbnid=7XqXoIeSpBBYWM:&imgrefurl=http://www.worldsguitar.com/2011-CHICAGO-BLUE-GIBSON-LES-PAUL-TRADITIONAL-PLUS.html&docid=_e0v_L4Z362ypM&imgurl=http://www.worldsguitar.com/2011-chicago-blue-gibson-les-paul-traditional-plus-limited-run.JPG&w=800&h=600&ei=VzB6UpS3B86UhQeF94DoDA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=2&vpy=248&dur=453&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=114&ty=92&page=2&tbnh=146&tbnw=189&start=35&ndsp=35&ved=1t:429,r:63,s:0,i:279 Cheers... btoth76
Although, model number indicates this model: http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Traditional-1960-Zebra.aspx Any signs of guitar has been refinished? Or the pickup covers soldered on later? Hm.... Cheers... Bence
cjsinla
The Chicago Blue on the latest Traditionals is darker than that and lets the grain of the top show through. IMHO, that is not Chicago Blue and definitely not Pelham Blue. Chicago blue Not sure what color that is. But, I agree that it is probably a Traditional of some type.
