Psychdave
Hey everyone, just got a 60s tribute SG with Min e Tune, brand new. Mainly got it to access alternate tuning but DANG it plays nice and it sure is a lot lighter than my Les Paul. So here is the rub... This has real difficulty staying in tune. If I can get through a song without the B or high E going out of tune, I am happy. I will admit I can be a heavy handed player, but my Les Paul needs to be tuned maybe once a set. Some could be out of box string stretch, but I am up to about 10 hours actual play time and it continues. Is this inherent to the Min e tune? Could string installation be a factor? Any real trick methods to stop this from occurring? Thanks all! Psychdave.
CharlieP
There is a trick to locking down the treble side or smaller diameter strings and it is covered in the manual that can be printed out or downloaded from Tronical Tune. Slipage is possible if not done with detail to locking the strings.
