MorrisrownSal
Now I sit down on the couch. My acoustic for sure ain't no slouch. I wouldn't trade it for the world But there is a box out there I'd give a twirl. It aint too pricy, truth be told, the Gruhn Martin 0000-15 could be in my fold. But do I need it? The answer is no. But why is it still in my mind, so? I pray for the strength to walk away. My Gibby has really got it all, I say. So breathe deep and leave the websites alone. Fight the urge to pick up the phone. I'm taking a walk now, hitting the gym. Banishing ideas of a guitar purchase on a whim. Any tips, advice, and support from you all? Help me stay true to my path, and nary fall. Damn you Gruhn's. Damn you Music Villa. Damn you Russo's. Damn you Wildwood. Damn you Mandolin Brothers. Damn you Elderly. Damn you Gryphon. Damn you............ zombywoof
I don't need no poem. I got my stock rationalizations all ready to go: 1) You only live once 2) I have worked hard my whole life and deserve it 3) That money could be going up my nose 4) In six months from now I will not miss the money that was spent. And my all time favorite: 5) I can always sell this or that guitar once I get the new one. "Rationalization is a process of not perceiving reality, but of attempting to make reality fit one's emotions" Ayn Rand. Ain't it the truth. GuitarLight
.....Our Father who art in Heaven, the minimum number of guitars I need are Elevin. ....Give us this day our daily bread, and I want a hundred and eleven before I am dead..... And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those, who have more guitars than we have toes..... And lead us not into temptation, for when I play a fine guitar, I always need sedation. ...For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, when I enter a GC...well Lord, you know the story. MissouriPicker
What the hell? If you've got the money and you want the guitar and it will fit easily into your life (family and job considered), go for it.
