And yet, they don't have them "in stock" yet?! So, why the bargain price?

Did they over-buy, for stock? Are they slowing down, in consumer demand?

If they don't even have them, yet...and can sell them for that amount, why

not sell them, for that, to begin with?! [biggrin] (No answer needed, I know

why!) lol

Very Interesting! :-k

The Lennon EJ-160E is also on sale, for $399.

Red 333

Interestingly enough, they have 4 in stock. MF has one at $424, and GC has it listed as "lowest price guaranteed" at $499. Hmmmm...I really don't need one of these (I have two Ovation A/E's), but at $399??? Tempted, mighty tempted.

Prolly didn't get the response from all the 50th anniversary blush with the Beatles Invasion. [confused] Seems like Epi/Gibson must be dumping them unless Sweetwater got a heck of a deal on a full container or something. There goes me getting anything good for my like new & factory grounded/better PUP EJ-160E I guess. Don't need it much anymore not that I have a Gibson Fuller J-160E. Maybe I'll take the steel strings off, PB's on and pretend it's an Epi EJ-45. [biggrin] Think it will come close?

I know that I knew at one time but can somebody give me a quick rundown on what the difference is between the IBJL Casino and the regular Casino now that they are temporarily the same price.

Thanks. Rob

USA Electonic's (Pickups, pots, and selector switch) in the IBJL, for one!

The IBJL only comes in Sunburst (Gloss) "'65," and Natural (Matte) "Revolution."

The "Revolution" IBJL has Gold Grovers, the '65 has the "Kluson"

style "butter bean" tuners. The Elitist Casino also uses Grover

tuners. And, the IBJL has the little black washer, under the switch

ring, that none of the others have, "stock."

Also, I believe the "Standard" Casino has a neck joint at the 17

fret, whereas the vintage USA, Japanese "Elitist," and the IBJL

have the vintage neck joint at the 16th fret. Unless they've

changed all that, recently???

And it comes with a Hardshell Case too vs. the standard Casino.

I guess I got lucky. I was following Casinos on Amazon.com because I had credit card points I could use there. I saw a IBJL for $849 and thought I would save a little more and watch for one. Back the next day there was one for $799. I was close to buying but was waiting for another financial element to fall in place. On Thursday I looked again and there were three bursts available for $599 from Gearnuts. Researched and saw this as a part of Sweetwater and jumped on it. They all sold within a few hours. They shipped it that day and I got it on Saturday. And it was nearly perfectly in tune after all the travel. (I was also lucky back in September when I found an American Vintage 72 Telecaster Thinline for $975 from Sweetwater's Ebay page.) Now, back to picking!
