rwfelton
Well, as promised...I DID it (well, actually my luthier friend, Brian, at my dealer's did it for me)! Changed the "aged" (pee yellow) fret markers in my 2000 LP Classic, to the "normal" version! MUCH BETTER LOOKING, don't you agree?!! Before: After: CB much agreed. what caused that? charlie brown
much agreed. what caused that? Do you mean what caused me to change them out, or what caused the Yellow-greenish color, of the originals? Gibson caused the original color, supposedly to look "aged," I guess? I love that guitar, but I never cared for, or understood the "fake aging" thing. I've never seen a vintage Les Paul, or any other guitar, for that matter, that had old original inlays, that were anywhere close to THAT color! LOL So, I'd been threatening to change them, for years. And, knowing my friend Brian, I just decided NOW was finally the time. Just picked it up, this past Friday. CB
Jimi Mac
Well, it's all a matter of opinion, and "taste," but Pippy's is certainly right up there! CB I love BongoScot's! It makes me weak in the knees!

rwfelton
i was thinking of changing the weird amber color plastics out on my 2014 studio with the cream.... i like the amber color but there is no contrast with the body. it almost blends in.

rwfelton
i don't mind the color of the new plastics that they are putting on the new studios. they just blend in with color of the honeyburst and desert burst and there is no contrast. i think the new colors look good on the black, blue, and red fire burst. pippy
Now THAT is very nice indeed, veeman. I love the mix of figure and grain. If it were mine I wouldn't be able to resist covering the p'ups, popping on a p'guard and giving the thing a shot of nitro. Then it would look very much like an original '59. Gorgeous! P. No guard will ever touch this baby, but pup covers for sure. Strap locks already installed, always the 1st thing done. Faber parts will be next. I wish someone made gold witch hat knobs, all my guitars have them, but they just wouldnt go with this finish. Probly go with speed knobs, never did like bell knobs.
