Guest Jubaea
Hi, Here's my latest acquisition, my Epiphone Sheraton Nashville USA Collection. It is in perfect condition, manufactured in 1993 and totally original. On this second picture, it's possible to see that I tried to replace the Epiphone bridge pickup by a Gibson pickup..., but finally, I reinstalled in its place the original Epiphone pickup. charlie brown
Nice!! Congratulations! Are the original pickups, on this one, single coil "New York" pickups, as the very first Sheraton's had, or the more standard mini-humbuckers? They appear to be shaped like the "New York" pickups, which is why I'm asking. CB
bobouz
Very nice! I have the John Lee Hooker Sheraton version made in 2000 (body made by Terada in Japan, hardware & assembly by Gibson in Nashville). Differences of note is that your F-holes appear to be bound, and the sunburst pattern is not the same (the JLH's extends into the horns of the body). Always fun to compare the differences of these similar models.
dr faustus
Very nice! I just got a bog standard Sheri II and I love it. You must be over the moon with this. How does it sound?
mgrasso
Beautiful. Anyone know what these sold for new? I have seen the Riviera, but this is the first Sheraton. The also made Casinos, right?
Sleeko
Oh, now that's beautiful right there. Love the narrow f holes. Very elegant. Same here bobouz, love to compare!

Guest Jubaea
On this Nashville Collection, the pickups are mini HB Epiphone made, not some single coils "New York" Epiphone pickups, and, I think, Gibson mini HB on the "JL Hooker" Sheraton. (I agree, apart from the pickups and finish, there's not much differences between this Nashville and the JLH, which are almost the same guitars). I took some pictures of the Epi pickups, here are the doubles coils, and the cover is a gold plastic cover. Here, next to a Gibson mini HB, to see the differences (Epi at left, Gibson at right). On the neck pickup, the sound is really, really great, but the bridge pickup, the sound is not as good (that's why I tried with a mini HB Gibson). But, finally, with using the tone potentiometer, it's much better. I had three Sheraton, a Sheraton II with Gibson's classic 57 pickups (for seven years), a Sheraton 50th Anniversary 1962 (for slightly more than one year), and now this Nashville Collection (for the rest of my life...). Finally, I sold the Sheraton II and the 50th Anniversary, and now..., ...this is my Epiphone family: L to R: Epi JL "1965" Casino USA (2008), Epi JL "Revolution" Casino USA (2005), Epi EA-250 Japan (1973 - probably) Epi Sorrento "50th Anniversary" 1962 China (2013), Epi Sheraton Nashville USA Collection (1993) ...and my Gibson family: L to R: Gibson LP Junior 58 (2009), Gibson Firebird V (2008) Gibson J-200 (2010), Gibson ES-355TD (2010) I'm a happy man. Yes, the "Assembled in USA" JLH Sheraton does have Gibson mini-humbuckers. Interesting info re the difference in pickups on your Nashville. Thanks for sharing all the photos! Guest Jubaea
What a beautiful guitar!! Where did you buy it? I'm one of the lucky guys who own an "Assembled in USA" JLH Sheraton, it's an amazing guitar. Thanks for share this with us. Regards. Excuse my English, I'll try to explain ... I found it here in France, near Paris, or to be exact, it was his ex-owner who found me. I'll explain. I am the webmaster of a website where I expose my guitars, especially my passion for Epiphone Casino and Sheraton. One day I received an email from the owner of this guitar, who knew my website. He told me he had two Sheraton, a Korean and this USA NASHVILLE COLLECTION, he needed money and he could not keep both guitars. He offered to sell me his SHERATON NASHVILLE COLLECTION, and I bought it. It's as simple as that. It was not the first owner of this guitar, he told me he had bought it to someone living LYON, FRANCE always. I do not know any more. Your "Assembled in USA" JLH Sheraton is very nice too, it has some Gibson pickups, and I think it sounds a little better than mine (but just a little ;) )... frenchie1281734003
Hi Jubaea, Very nice Nashville collection Sheraton you have there. I have visited your web page a few times, and found it interesting and informative. I referred to your "Elitist Casino"-Lennon 65 Casino comparison when "re-wiring and upgrading my own Elitist Casino, earlier this year. Any chance of an English version of your site? Steve.
