B.Can Posted April 28, 2014 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Hi; i just purchased a second hand mint condition 2011 R7, neck have much relief than it should be, when i open the truss rod cover the leftover paint was still on the nut (according to my experience it means no body touched it before :) ) i cleaned the nut and applied some oil, then i tightened a litte but it needed much more force than i used on my other guitars. After setup i noticed that i still got a little bit much relief, but its even much harder to tighten now. is it normal on R7 necks? I'll be glad if experienced users help me, as far as i know they use naked (without tubing) truss rods on r7's does it have any effect? Or should i tighten it anyway?
