j45nick
1948-'50 J-45, purchased for $50 in the fall of 1966. Still have that sucker 48 years later. Both the guitar and the owner have gone through more than a few changes in that period of time. The guitar looks substantially better today than the owner........ music4love
my first Gibson was a J-150. Played and sounded great. realized that I prefer a short scale. Sold it with the intention of replacing it with a CJ-165R. Then Gibson discontinued them .
QuestionMark
First was a 1960 or 61 Gibson LG3 that as a young kid my brother owned, but I would play whenever he wasn't playing it or around the house, until the time he moved out. (I owned a Kay). Somewhere in there I owned a 1965 Epiphone Century AE/Hollowbody (=Gibson 125T)...which was technically the first Kalamazoo Gibson/Epi factory instrument I personally owned. When my brother moved out, I purchased a used 1965 Kalamazoo made Epiphone FT30/Caballero (=Gibson LG0) and shortly after traded the '65 Epi Century (with some extra lent cash) for a new 1972 Gibson SJ Deluxe (which was technically the first Gibson flat-top I personally owned.)
