A warm one today alright! 32 C is expected and it’s a gorgeous morning except I’m trying to download new A/V software for the Mac and it’s annoying!

What ever happened to buying software with a CD?

There's wind and there's rain on the river
The temperature gives me a shiver
A bottle of rum? I think I'll have some
And warm myself up through my liver :D

Thanks

The weather looks better today
The sun's out the sky is not gray
We have a nice gig, it's outdoors and big
We pray that the rain stays away

You're a poet and don’t know it Bob.

33 C here today and still sooooo dry! Plants that must be 30 years old are turning up their toes ATM. Almost the driest I’ve seen here.

We will lose a few big trees this year the way it’s going.

25 C again today and some activity overnight with precipitation, though not a lot. Looks like maybe some more today??

Almost warm enough in bed to have the ceiling fan going.

I took my dog for a walk just now and it's 71. The high was 81 and the low was that 71. Cold front coming through this weekend that will drop it to the 60's for highs on Sunday.

It was a cloudy day yesterday and a series of small fronts were coming through. There’s a big system south of Sydney heading down our way and I’ll be watching it’s progress carefully.
Small very active cells were well in advance of the main system and I was watching them approach on the radar

One hit us about 3 pm that was equal to the most violent storms we’ve seen here in 35 years!

The house was quickly surrounded by a sea of water and there were rivers running off the house pad. All my gravel driveways that I so lovingly recently graded are washed out and gravel streaming off into the paddocks to kill my mower blades for some time to come. Not sure if any of it can be scraped back with the tractor bucket, guess I’ll soon see. There's mud covering all the gravel around the house and drains are choked with gravel and soil and have to be cleaned out by hand today. Debris is lying everywhere and I haven’t been game to check the shed yet, or mums house
.
The whole thing took about 20 minutes and only half of that was really heavy.

Ironically there should have been significant water going into the dam but from what I could see there was bugger all! I think the ground here was so dry that most of it got soaked up. Bad for my dam but good for the property as it was exceptionally dry here. Now the grass is really gonna grow like mad...Sigh~

At it’s worst the rain was horizontal and I couldn’t see out the windows to the west as 7’ verandahs were no use. It was so strong that water was coming in and running down the chimney and out of the fireplace onto the lounge room floor. I put down about 8 towels to stop it’s progress! I guess that for a while was big charcoal filter~

So I now have days of extra work that I wasn’t anticipating but at least this time I have a capable tractor to help me.

29 C today and maybe late showers.
