Forgive my ignorance, but what is the neck Tenon?

I hear the term alot. Most recently when researching the Orville guitars which all seemed to list a "long neck tenon."

Does anyone have a picture or diagram illustrating what is a long vs short neck tenon?

Does Gibson USA still use the short neck tenon on the Standards and Traditionals?

Traditionals should be short tenon. When they started Modern Weight Relieving, this was the advent of the Super Long Tenon contemporarily used for Gibson USA Standards.

Hello!

When Gibson uses long tenon joint, they never forget to mention it on the specs page.

Cheers... Bence

Sadly they do. Some specs just say "mortise & tenon" like on the 2014 Standard page.
