Jimi Mac
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the neck Tenon? I hear the term alot. Most recently when researching the Orville guitars which all seemed to list a "long neck tenon." Does anyone have a picture or diagram illustrating what is a long vs short neck tenon? capmaster
Does Gibson USA still use the short neck tenon on the Standards and Traditionals? Traditionals should be short tenon. When they started Modern Weight Relieving, this was the advent of the Super Long Tenon contemporarily used for Gibson USA Standards.

Some specs just say "mortise & tenon" like on the 2014 Standard page.

Jimi Mac
Thank you very much! I did some research after posting my question, but I did not know what made a short or long standard version...
