Clew In
Hey, I am looking at an ES 355 1997 and I was wanting to know if someone could tell me about the serial number ? I have no pictures; however, it has the serial number on the label inside the sound hole. It has a custom shop decal on the back of the headstock and no serial number stamped on the back of the headstock (is this correct?). It has block inlays and is a faded watermelon color (if that is the correct name). It looks to be in decent condition and I am considering buying it. Any advice or links to information on this type guitar would be appreciated. Rock On! Tom
L5Larry
This guitar is from the "Historic" series, and is the absolute HIGHEST level of Gibson reissues/reproductions. ALL features are correct and proper as you describe. I have one of the 345's from this series built in 2000.
