KevinKettell
Dear Epiphone Company and dear readers, I recently bought a brand new Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and it is the best guitar I have ever had. Or played for that matter. I have jammed with people that had other Les Pauls and they were Gibsons, but mine still won. If I was going to refer someone to get a new guitar, I would say get one of these Epiphones. Ive had Jacksons, Ibanez, Gibson Custom Black Beauty, Rickenbacker 12 strings, Rickenbacker 6 strings, a Charvel, I cant even remember all of them. But this new one is the best. I was jamming the other day on a Mesa-Boogie amp that was pretty big, it was sporting like 2 14 inch speakers. And had a monster killer sound. And I just couldnt get over how it was just playing everything right. I have built up my chops over the years and so it was just a matter of seeing how I could get the things done on this new one. I easily adapted to it, though. It plays the Beatles so perfect. I finally feel as if I am part of the band. The guitar reacts to just the smallest sense of touch or feel applied to it. And it has a virtually endless sustain. The tuners are very trustworthy, and maintains the proper note better than any other guitar with no string lock. Heck, I have a Floyd Rose on a Fender Squire and that thing goes way out of tune more than this one. Plus it has such a Classy feel to it. You feel like you really are a rock star. And everybody that sees it is like totally impressed with this professional style guitar. I knew when I bought it I would hardly need to try it out, I dont think I even did. I already had tried out an Epiphone Casino before and I knew they made great guitars. Plus I used to play an Epiphone SG before in a band, and another friend of mine had a more expensive style of an Epiphone SG and they were all very good. I was thankful that the guitar was totally set up and intonated. It has harmonics out of this world. It will give a very loud and toneful response if you try out a harmonic. I just wanted to say thank you for making me such a great guitar, and at an affordable price! Thank you to all of your staff and may God bless you all! Happy New Year too!
