N (to me) GD: Gibson DSM

Managed to pick up this Gibson DSM in mint condition for only 4 Benjamins. Now I know what a lot of folks are saying about this model. And I know that for some purists any guitar without a dovetail neck joint or not made in the USA will never be considered a "real" Gibson to them (although I'm sure the folks at Gibson would have a different opinion). Nevertheless, I've played many a Gibson in my days and I have to say that this is one lovely guitar. The woods are not premium, as expected, but workmanship is first rate, it plays beautifully, it's very loud, and the sound is pure Gibson. From what I've learned, Gibson did a poor job producing and marketing the Songmaker line. I don't know if all of them are like mine, but mine is a definite keeper.

Congrats and enjoy your NGGD. But be warned: Tis' a slippery slope... you may soon be TwoGibsonGuy : 0 !

And a good reminder that real Gibsons can have 3-screw truss rod covers. Proudly made in Newfoundland, the land of the 'Larri'. Enjoy.

And thanks for putting up the nice photos... so I guess it did happen.
