JoePass295
Hello All! I obviously am new to the forum and as such posted my intro, more my guitars info. I wanted to bump my intro here so all you Epifanatics can take a look and kick in your ideas. If Gibson ever made a Joe Pass ES-295, this is it. I sent Gibson the info and hope they can clarify, otherwise I'm hoping there are some more custom ES-295 or EPI-Proto owners with factory confirmation. http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/114343-joe-pass-es-295-hmmmmm/ Enjoy! Parabar
Nice guitar! I'm not sure what exactly is "Joe Pass" about it, though. The ES-295 is essentially an ES-175 with P-90's and usually a gold finish (and stenciled flowered pickguard). Joe Pass was mostly associated with the standard Gibson ES-175 with humbuckers and no Bigsby; the Epiphone Joe Pass follows that precedent. A natural finish ES-295 is a rare bird by itself, anyyway!
