Hey, everyone!

 

Every month, I receive two 20% Off "Friends and Family" coupons at work. What I've been doing with them is posting them to my Facebook page. However, I figured it would make as much sense—if not more—to post them here.

 

I should be receiving my August coupons by the end of the week, and will post them here in this thread. They are single-use coupons… so, it'll be first come, first served. Be on the look-out if interested.

 

There are restrictions depending on brands. But I am pretty sure the important stuff like guitars, amps and pedals, etc. are minimally restricted. I think Rickenbacker is the only major guitar manufacturer that is excluded.

I have yet for them to honor any coupons at Guitar Center- there is always a loophole for them-

I have yet to have a coupon turned down at GC. They have also honored the coupon discount % on items listed as excluded.

 

This is the same as the discussion in the MF thread ... they are the same, you know :)

I've never had a coupon denied at guitar center either. Usually they'll give a break on the price of just about anything.

GCs are different. There are 3 of them all just about the same distance from me. The ones in the largest city are 'tighter' than the one in the smaller city.

 

As an example, I recently traded an RP1000 on a Boss GT-001 desktop unit. The GT was a preorder item at the time. The BIG city GCs didn't want to dicker at all. The smaller city GC offered the same trade value for the RP and a 15% discount on the GT. There were no coupons or sales going at the time.

 

I attribute this to higher demand and "rent" at the BIG city stores.

 

If I was going to buy one guitar and one amp every 10 years, discounts wouldn't matter as much to me. However, I am a gear junkie. I trade/acquire on a regular basis - not every day, but probably a grand or so new money every year. Over a few years, the discounts add up to serious munny to me.

That's all I've ever needed to get at least whatever they are giving today, generally speaking, overall, if I had an average in my life like a pitcher or something, no less than 8% off retail, but most of the time 12% - 15%, somewhere in there, plus tax. If it's a really good day and they really want to sell it, 18% will happen.

I should have thanked you, I am one of those that has nothing but good experiences at my local GC, and so far, GCs in about halfa dozen states. I have a really good relationship with the manager here, so I get whatever is best they can give me.

I should have thanked you, I am one of those that has nothing but good experiences at my local GC, and so far, GCs in about halfa dozen states. I have a really good relationship with the manager here, so I get whatever is best they can give me.

Same here, they have given me 15% off on 4 guitars , even more then that on my Les Paul at my local Guitar Center you just have to ask, I like the staff, always professional. They know me by name

My Les Paul Raw Power was at the Nashville store for 400. I had a 25% off coupon for anything over $300. Nobody gave me any flack for over it. I walked out of the store with a Les Paul and a gig bag for $300. I'm a happy boy.
