I'm talking about around '89 to '94; the simple ones with the dot inlays and no pickup covers. The reason I'm asking is that I found a '92 heritage cherry on eBay identical to my '93. Have you tried contacting Customer Support and asking them? Thanks! I can't find a photo anywhere online of a black one from that era, so I think cherry might have been the only option. I'm still trying to decide whether to make an offer on the cherry one I found on eBay. It looks to be in very good shape except for a big chip in the headstock.
