Using the same 5 ply material Gibson uses for its' ES 335 you can use the Original pickguard and make an Epi DOT 5 ply guard. Note the beveled edge running parallel to the strings like Gibson does on its' ES 335. I did this this afternoon just to see what it would look like. It's sittin on top of the other guard but would probably look even better installed. The mod that never happened a subtle change... but could be the ticket for someone trying to bring their beloved DOT up a notch. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
