frenchie1281734003
Wonderful to see this, let`s hope it`s the first of many (63 El-dorado would be nice!). Just one question, what happened to the "Frequensator" tailpiece? Steve. P.S. I see the "Elitist" Texan is back again too! http://cms.epiphone.com/Products/Acoustic/Ltd-Ed-Elitist-1964-Texan.aspx
bobouz
Just one question, what happened to the "Frequensator" tailpiece? Got so excited, I didn't even notice the stopbar. Would really prefer to see a Frequensator.

Barcham
Maybe with an upcharge for nitro? $2199? Red 333 Why should I have to pay extra for an inferior finish?
charlie brown
Also, 1966 was the year that Epi introduced the "Cherry" finish option, on this model, so it would be nice, if Epi did the same, for this "Elitist" reissue. CB
Jeffery Smith
I played a Kalamazoo-made Riviera in 1967 that looked just like this upcoming Elitist. I remember that the burst was lighter than Gibson's vintage sunburst. My recollection is that it was very much like an ES 335. It impressed me enough to convince me to buy a Texan. charlie brown
A 2-hole Truss Rod Cover, too! Excellent! Historically correct, and (most likely) a Gibson like Truss Rod (hopefully)! Now, if they'd only do THAT, to the "Elitist" Casino's?! CB
bobouz
Just now noticed the "Delrin" saddles. Another nice touch!
byrds1965
A 2-hole Truss Rod Cover, too! Excellent! Historically correct, and (most likely) a Gibson like Truss Rod (hopefully)! Now, if they'd only do THAT, to the "Elitist" Casino's?! CB The Elitists I have owned and still own have the Gibson truss rod. Noticed the saddles too. They finally pulled out all the stops to make the guitars correct. I am buying the Riviera and possibly the Texan too. Just need to wait until they show up. Jeffery Smith
I've been checking their web site regularly. On Monday, I'll give Matt a call to see when they are expected and if he knows the street price.
mydeadblues
I almost got my hands on an Elitist 6 string Riviera (1st run) a few months back. I've been kicking myself since for not making the trip. I'd love to get the '66 Elitist to go along with my elitist 12 Riviera.

bobouz
The Elitists I have owned and still own have the Gibson truss rod. As I recall, the Elitist Casino truss rod is different & requires an Allen wrench. Out of town right now, so I can't check mine.
