neil fraser
I Have an angled Fender guitar cable for my SG, but I'm not finding it very secure plugged into the guitar, giving a bit of cut-out in the sound when moved. When plugging the lead in the non - angled way, there is no problem. What angled lead do you SG players use, which has a nice secure fitting? AndyK
I put the lead through above the strap and secure it that way. I have a Whirlwind lead, which is about 20 years old - quality.
sg50
Looping over the strap helps when something is loose. Is your jack loose? Maybe there's a short in your cable end? I typically use CBI cables because that's what my local dealer sells and it's made in USA. Local business + domestic product = double win. http://www.cbicables.com/guitar_cables.aspx
