The A-Man
is definately the old pink plush les paul cases, but I can't get my hands on one of 'em anywhere!!!! The newer white plush is very cool, don't get me wrong, and I could see them being the "vintage look," in years to come, but does Gibson even produce the pink ones anymore? Deftone
Pink? I thought you were talking about guitar colors, not cases. I like black for guitars. The wine red studios look awesome too. Any of the traditional bursts like cherryburst, honeyburst tobaccoburst look great to me as well.
DoubleSixx
I have seen them often on eBay, you may have to fight for it : http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Hard-Case_W0QQitemZ270212578870QQihZ017QQcategoryZ38086QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Gibson-USA-Guitar-Case-For-Les-Paul-Style_W0QQitemZ350026472287QQihZ022QQcategoryZ41409QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Good luck. Mark
A little off topic but why did my studio case have a top cover for the guitar and my standard not. and most of the photos I see don't have a cover either. Oh yea I like white Mark
DoubleSixx
I don't know if they use that inner cover anymore. My friend has a brown case with the pink linning (I know he's not selling it sorry), but it was from '97.
Oyster
I heard (for what it's worth) that Gibson had problems with the pink bleeding into the finish, so they chose white. Any truth? No idea.
Tim Plains
The case for my Custom has a purple interior and I absolutely love it...sight and smell. Anybody else know what I'm talking about? It has such a sweet smell to it. I know it's the glue and I really shouldn't be inhaling it but it's soooo good! :P For LPs, silverbursts are definitely my fav, followed by desertbursts. For anybody in the Burl. area, there's a GORGEOUS LP Standard at Long & McQuadel I'm surprised nobody's picked it up yet. It's not one of the seven LP colours listed on Gibson's website but man is it ever hot. If I didn't already have a Standard, I would definitely be buying this thing! Gibson CS
My 1991 LP had that case, and yes...it had a lineing as well that you laid on the guitar before closing the case.

Tim Plains
dslyecix, the guy at L&M thinks it's a light-burst. It doesn't really look like a light-burst...kinda reminds me of a peach...........mmmmmm.....peach :) Still...a beautiful LP!!
daveinspain
Keep an eye on ebay... I scored a vintage case for my 1971 SG Standard there. I have seen many of the pink lined cases for sale...
FennRx
i have a brown hardshell case with pink interior (including silk cover) from 1995. i'll sell it to you for far more than what's it's worth.

smurf77
Could never understand why Gibson decided on a brown case with pink lining. I think it's yuk! My new Lp came in a black snakeskin with silver logo and white interior....love it! Having said that, a dark interior might have been more practical.
