jboetius
I'm about to buy a very nice Es 335 1960 reissue but I noticed that there was no serial number on the headstock. Can someone tell me if that is normal and why ? Just want to make sure I'm not buying some fake or chinese stuff. It has it's certificate of authenticity and also the orange label inside with serial number. But no serial number on the headstock bothers me.. BigKahune
. This is a "Historic" reissue and in the interest of accuracy, Gibson didn't stamp the serial number on headstock which is accurate for 1960. Should be in the F-hole. .

No, as BigKahune has said that is exactly as it should be. I have an "Historic" 1959 ES345 Reissue the same - no headstock number - just the orange label in the f-hole.
