G-Force with Wrap over strings

Can a guy "wrap over" strings on the bridge like Billy Gibbons and others on a G-Force Tuning system LP? Or would that screw up the tuning system?

Both the LP Double Cut and Junior have them so id guess its ok :)

looks like it can be pulled off. I would just be worried about tension. There's the possibility of burning out the internal mechanism of the G-Force. Then again, the G-force has been pretty sturdy from the times I have played with it. Yeah, tension is the only problem I can think of, but nothing the G-Force can't do!

Top wrapping dosn't change the string tension so there's nothing to worry about there.

 

Exactly, since you are changing the tail piece which is before the saddle you have nothing to worry about. I've top wrapped my strings on my 2015 Les Paul in order to lower the tail piece closer to the body of the guitar.
