capmaster Posted November 6, 2014 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Hello C. Rex, and welcome to this nice place. To me it looks like an Epiphone Rock Bass with an Epiphone Power Bass headstock. Thank you! to find where it was made just look up the serial# tht is the number located in the sticker on the back of the headstock ;). ok so using the serial on my epi bass which is S2050803 it breaks down as follows: S = samick ( which is located in korea) 2 = 1992 05 = May 0803 = number off line in this case it means it was the 803rd one off the assembly line in may. now the last 4 digits can also help you determine the exact day it was made and in my case/ example it was easy to figure out that it came off the line on the first day of may LOL. there is a serial number id thing for epi's but I cant remember the link ( wish I would have saved it now LOL.
