Push-Pull Coil Tapping

Hi all, I have a new ES-335 PRO with the Alnico Classic humbuckers that feature coil tapping, which I confess to know nothing about. I have read on the Epiphone web page that this feature is activated by a push/pull coil-tapping action, does that mean you push or pull in on the volume controls to use this feature? Please advise, I'm new to electric guitar.

pull the volume control away from the body for coil tapping and push back in toward the body for humbucker

probably just going by the Epiphone specs on the website

-Epiphone all-metal 3-way pickup selector

-Neck pickup volume with push/pull coil-tapping

-Bridge pickup volume with push/pull coil-tapping

-Neck pickup tone -Bridge pickup tone

You are correct, the Epiphone manual did refer to "coil tapping", so forgive a newbie for not calling it coil splitting.
