pvlvsdog
I have a 1957 Jr. serial number 7 1242. Is this the 1242nd unit built in 1957? or is it the 242nd built in run 1 of 1957? Thanks
tvguit
The first number indicates the last number of the year it was manufactured (1957). The following numbers were assigned initially in order but some of the guitars left the factory before others. It's correct to call that guitar a 1957 but not necessarily correct to say that it was the 1242nd unit built that year. Can you post some pictures?
