truetone6
What a super cool guitar and a bargain too... $449 for a Les Paul! 449.00 US Dollars of 2014 would be worth only $71.78 US Dollars of 1959. How much did a Melody Maker cost in 1959? Anway, here is a cool article about the awesome new P-90 Slug pickups that were made exclusively for the 2014 Les Paul Melody Maker. I'm also interested in this model but i am considering also a melody maker special and a used les paul special. Anyone knows the differences between the new mm and the mm special? Anyway your guitar looks great!

Anyway your guitar looks great! Thanks! The 2014 Les Paul Melody Maker is both a Melody Maker and the most affordable Les Paul in the line.It has a carved maple top,a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, P-90 Alnico V Slug pickups with 2 volume controls and 2 tone controls, a 120th Anniversery inlay on the fret board,a full sized Headstock with Les Paul signature and Lightning Bar Bridge. truetone6
Thanks, Did you you play both? Which one would you suggest? I have only played the Les Paul Melody Maker They are on sale at Sam Ash for $499. I don't think Gibson is making The Melody Maker Special anymore. It may still be available at some stores otherwise you would have to find a used copy.
