Cellao
Hello everybody! I'm looking for a bridge pickup for my Gibson Sg Special Faded to play hard rock/blues rock/classic rock... The stock bridge pickup is a 490T. IMHO it lacks personality and it sounds very thin while I do love warmth... Which pickup would you recommend? I don't want it to sound too bright or too open! I need personality above all... I was suggested to consider Seymour Duncan pups... Can you help me? Thx :)

Jon S.
Gibson '57 Classic - Mr. warm personality +1. '57 Classics are a personal favorite for SG's(and pretty much any other humbucker equipped guitar).
WDeranged
The 57 Classic in the bridge of my Faded was a lovely sound, nicely balanced. I found them too bassy in the neck but maybe this will suit your tastes, they're certainly not lacking character.
drzing
Gibson 498T, Dimarzio Super Distortion, S. Duncan Distortion or maybe Invader if you like;
Pesh
Gibson '57 Classic, or '57 Classic+ Dimarzio PAF Master Bridge, or PAF 36th Anniversary Bridge ...or my personal favourite... Creamery '59. Assuming you're not after a super distorted monster pickup, of course

12ay7
Fralin Pure PAF or Di Marzio Eric Johnson. Both with nickel-silver covers. If you can afford Ron Ellis, by all means but at $600 per set for 'buckers, I suspect many will not want to make that kind of investment. They ARE the best, at least to my ears. Rick
Which pickup would you put, in the neck position, along with the '57 in the bridge?
