flatbaroque
Gday folks...one from young Bob's collection ...so it's not a Sinatra cover. I just realised this is my 100th youtube clip. That's a lot of half arzed musicry to inflict on an unsuspecting public . thanks for listening...if you do
duluthdan
Love the addition of the harmonica - really adds a cool dimension. What altitude are you at? I'm am living and playing at 7,000 + feet. I will pass out playing my harp and singing.

j45nick
Good song, good performance. One of the more accessible Dylan songs from that period, but still lots of Dylan-esque imagery.

flatbaroque
Thanks all! Dan I'm at sea level and it's 90 degrees...so i'm full of hot air . I was at Everest base camp in September at 17000 feet. Not much harmonica playing from me there.I was struggling to walk, talk or breathe.
E-minor7
Yes you get inside the song - it's the way to do it. I'm sure Dylan would approve too. Strings on the Standard right now ? , , sounds splendid, the low-end is gettin' good'n'loose. . ^

The first recording I did of this the guitar was actually too dominant over the vocal..with the down tuned E string drone too prominent (drop c tuning as you probably know). So I ended up playing softer than usual.Still plenty of bass there.

MorrisrownSal
Ha... I love your videos FB. I do have a question though... How did you relic your shirt so perfectly so that it gives the appearance of a Saturday chores shirt with globs of paint on it? Did you buy the shirt that way? I'd pay extra for one like that, and maybe even one that is torrefied.
flatbaroque
hahaha...BBG and Sal...thanks for your support....I think!! Sal the T shirt relification process involves using bleach to clean mould off the bathroom ceiling and letting it drip on your shirt....it's all the rage down this way. littlejohnny
Hi FB, thanks for posting. You made me learn this song. I'm not that much into Dylan. I know him, respect him, admire him, but I don't like him, if that makes any sense. Whatever, here is my first version without any major mistakes. I'm still working on the right groove. And well, I generally stopped working on my vocals. I started out on my j-45, but since sound clips of my Bird a long overdue, I went with it. I liked that version DiminutiveJohnny..your voice has it's own distinct DNA...it's good.My version was capo on 4, E string tuned down to C.How did you play it? littlejohnny
I also played it capoed on the 4 fret with E-String tuned down, guess I missed to play the low E-string al lot. Maybe I record a new version later. I really enjoy working on that tune. And thanks for your kind words.
