UndaThaRug
Hi guys, My name is Kyle and I'm new to the forums. I have a question about my 1965 b25 12n. I see there are a few different bridge styles around and I'm not sure which one is the correct bridge for mine. Not sure how to get this across clearly but my guitar has no bridge pins or the metal tail piece. My bridge allows the strings straight through and I have a a feeling that it's not correct. Any help is greatly appreciated.
zombywoof
The bridge is right on the money for your guitar. Gibson did put a belly up pinless bridge on the B25-12 (as well as I believe the Everly Bros. model) for a couple of years. I am not positive about what years but believe it was '65 and '66. Must have been taking a page out of the Harmony playbook.
UndaThaRug
Ok sounds good, now just to fix the bridge lifting. The guitar is in not bad shape so I'm gunna get it fixed up. Thanks again.
fp
Correct bridge for sure but unfortunately that style of bridge with 12 strings pulling on it is prone to lifting. Get it re-glued and it will be good for many more years.
slimt
I would agree.. get the bridge reglued before it starts causing problems on the top..
