ya man I had to go hunting when I first saw this yesterday.

in being totally subjectional I guess I can see the "Cool" factor for some players..

Me,, ahh I dunno,, I like the organic nature of wood, so I like the grain structure to show thru...

to that end, I don't have, Nor can I ever remember having any guitars that have finishes where you can't see at least to some degree, the wood grain.

hey Viva La Difference!

i like very much this guitar

why ? i have bought it for the look, the visual, the mirror and i wanted a sg to play where i want in the fretboard

no limit like a les paul

here, it's a highway !

until the highest frets

and

- pickups are really good

the sounds are so good

so warm, so jazz, so blues but i can play funk too !!

sustain is good and all is possible with the volume

there is no split but no problem too : this is not a strat :)

-harmonics are good for the bridge position

i don't need a sh4

i have never known if there was a 498 or 490 in the bridge position

-the neck is round and completely different from a thick neck like some Ibanez guitars or strat

- i can make awesome bends that i can't do with another guitars

-action can be low too

-problems? no problems at all

but

i would have preferred more trebles sometimes about the sound

but for me, it's not a sg : it's the perfect mix between jazz blues and heavy metal

perfect mix with a clean and a warm sound so, the sound is warm and it can compete with a les paul

i have played with a few guitars and this one is the best of me : the sound and it's easy to play with this one

i don"t know if a sg standard has a different sound: maybe a brighter sound because my guitar is "a special " but i don' t like, i prefer her name "sg new century"
