Kenan
I know one has to try the actual guitar..but just wondering what would be your pick? I'm leaning towards ordering Epi Plus Top but I heard Tokais make good guitars as well (this Tokai is most likely made in China). So what is your opinion? :) Thanks. Kenan
Well, I took the plunge and ordered me this beauty (in heritage sunburst): I heard good things about Tokai, but I've been eyeing the Plus Top for quite some time now..and I've heard nothing but good things about Epi Plus Top as well so... :) Maybe in the future I'll give Tokai a chance, who knows, but for the time being, I plan on enjoying this beauty. crust
I've never played, or even seen a Tokai guitar. But, this thing is quite nice. I really can't think of a way a Les Paul style guitar could be much better. More expensive...well, definitely...better...well, I guess that is kind of a relative term... I like mine. It's just a very nice electric guitar...to me.

Morkolo
Do yourself a favor and change those pickups out as soon as you get it, best thing I ever did to mine.

Kenan
how is the action and tone... ? have you had to do any adjustments...string change ? That thing does look like it's on fire The action was a bit high but I think it was supposed to be like that (factory set). I lowered the action and put .9 strings on it (Never been a fan of .10s, a bit too rough on my fingers). The guitar is easy to play and sounds great..I find myself just looking for excuses to drop whatever I'm doing just to sit with my Plus Top and do some jamming.. Joenavy
Do yourself a favor and change those pickups out as soon as you get it, best thing I ever did to mine. What kind of pickups did you put in? I've been playing mine with the factory pickups and they seem fine to me but I'm new to electrics.

Newbuck
Here's a short jam with my new Epi Les Paul: Nice video, I enjoyed and a beautiful looking guitar. I'm quite new to guitars but just got myself a LP custom pro ( Black Beauty) and absolutely love it, all I goota do is be able to play like you 😎🎸 Cheers Newbuck
Kenan
So..after some time of playing here's some additional feedback: I am quite amazed how easy this guitar is to play. I am using though, .9 strings (.10 are a bit too hard on my fingers) and set the action to standard Les Paul specs (2mm height 6th E string on the 12th fret and 1.2mm 1st E string on the 12th fret). No noticable fret buzz (unless I hit it hard of course) and plays like a charm..strings bend easily and it's just..well..like a cake. :D So, not only does it looks nice, it also plays/sounds nice. Not sorry for spending 450$ on it. :)
Morkolo
What kind of pickups did you put in? I've been playing mine with the factory pickups and they seem fine to me but I'm new to electrics. I put in a set of Gibson Burstbuckers, they really brought the guitar to life for me. But if you're happy with the sound you're getting that's all that matters.
