sirjohnalotof
Hope this is in the right forum... I have just bought a '94 ES 135 but the capped hex nut on the pickguard bracket is missing. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement without buying the whole unit? I am in the UK and cannot find a nut small enough or with the correct thread and I'm rapidly running out of Levis as the protruding bolt tears a hole in the knees! L5Larry
Don't know if you will find an exact match, but the type nut you're looking for is known as an "acorn nut", or "cap nut". Most hardware stores will have at least some selection.
sirjohnalotof
Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately none of the nuts, either acorn or capped hex that I can find in the UK conform to a 90's US thread.
capmaster
Hello Sir John, and welcome here. Is there a luthier or a dealer with a well-assorted repair shop in your vicinity? They might have parts like that in stock. At least I know for sure that Thomann has lots of items in their workshop that aren't listed at all or as separate spare parts in their web catalogue. There very probably are sources for such special parts in UK, too.
