DSully
Hello. I'm wondering if you can help me with any info about this guitar. It was purchased prior to 1980, and is in immaculate condition, hardly used. Serial # is 7249809, custom L-5. Has mother of pearl inlay along the neck and on the headstock, (looks like a chalice with flowers). Made in USA also stamped on the back below the serial #. Any help is greatly appreciated. cjsinla
We need to be able to see the pics. Try getting a Photobucket account and posting links here to that account.

retrorod
This link gives you an overview of the model http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson_L5S Yours is the 2nd version with humbuckers and TP6 tailpiece/harmonica bridge. It is beautifull. Appears to be all original and period-correct. Rod
