JeroenKortleven
Hello everybody, I'm having trouble swapping my bridge pick up in my 2015 Les Paul Studio with a Suhr Aldrich pick up. It's not a traditionally wired Les Paul but it has a printed circuit board on which the pick ups are mounted. I cut the cables off about an inch from where they are mounted on the printed circuit board and soldered the same colour wires to them. Result : The pick up works but very very quiet. (it's not the pick up height) Anybody knows what to do? Thanks in advance.
retrorod
Sorry that I cannot help. I can only gripe about the use of pcb's and harness connectors on modern guitar builds. Just a bunch of BS, in my humble opinion. The same with robo-tuners. JUST YUCK!!!!
Pesh
Could be that the wires have got crossed, literally. One manufacturers' pickup lead wires may differ in colour compared to anothers'. This could be something as simple as having mixed ground and live wires.
