donniecrump
I just received my new Les Paul and my intentions are to pull out the push/pull setup and throw in some different pickups and, of course, replace the push/pull pots. I am left handed and was curious if Gibson used reverse pots in their Les Pauls? Also in a Signature T do they use a tone/linear + audio/volume setup? Or Audios all around. L5Larry
The standard three lug pot can be wired either way, just reverse the function of the two outside wires.
capmaster
The standard three lug pot can be wired either way, just reverse the function of the two outside wires. Valid for the function of linear pots, but you would need "inverse audio taper" or "negative logarithmic" pots. These are pretty scarce. Furthermore, the rotational direction of the knobs' numbering also has to be the other way round, a countdown, if you will.
