What The Heck Is This

These are photos of a supposed Gibson SG Bass. Aside from the missing frets (?), I am questioning the bolt on neck, cheesy looking tuners and bridge. Is this legit?post-57756-090607400 1427318229_thumb.jpgpost-57756-015496000 1427318220_thumb.jpgpost-57756-084100300 1427318267_thumb.jpg

Can't be sure, as the photos on my current screen are quite small...but that doesn't look like a bolt on neck. There are no bolts; the silver thing on the heel is the strap button, and is normally placed for an SG type guitar. It looks like either the neck or body have been refinished at some point, which is why there's a colour difference.

And from the other photos it looks it's lost the actual metal frets on that end of the fretboard; note the position inlay after the last fret remaining, and what looks like grooves in the timber where the missing frets should be.

The bridge is original. The tuners are aftermarket Schallers. The frets were likely pulled because it was fretting out with low action. Other than the paint it doesn't look back. It's the original knobs and pickup. Doesn't look to have been butchered up with crazy routs or anything.

For $150 you better buy it. It you don;t let me know where it is. [thumbup]
