A few months back I tried The Soul Food and The Glove. The Glove suited me better but The Soul Food was very good as well EHX makes some excellent pedals in a very affordable price range. surfpup Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 I nibbled on some Soul Food a couple weeks a go too. My modded TS9s weren't cutting through as much as I wanted. The Soul Food sounds nice - pretty crunchy yet lots of headroom - kinda hi-fi (I believe it mixes some of the clean signal back in and runs at a simulated 18v). This week I started modding the clipping diodes in my TS9s and after last nights gig I may be kicking the Soul Food to the curb. Still not sure though - it has its merits and it is cheap!
