DCBirdMan
Standard Gibson neck width has alwayhs been 1 11/16ths -- at least for traditional models. For the last half of the 1960s they went to an absurd 1 9/16th, and I find those very hard to play, and I don't have big hands. Even 1 11/16th is on the narrow side and other companies like Taylor, Martin have been moving up to 1 3/4. I have a reissue Gibson CF-100E that is 1 3/4... and that 1/'16th makes a difference. I wish Gibson would offer up the wider neck as standard.
