SteveFord
Today was spent changing strings and I have to admit it, the Steinberger tuners on the later Firebirds are pretty damned slick. They really simplify the process and it's an awfully clever design. I don't know if I'll ever warm to the looks of them but for functionality they can't be beat. capmaster
Really a smart design. The only thing to take care for is pulling the E1st through the pinch hole with a certain amount of tension while fastening to make the travel sufficient for tuning up. E1sts stretch significantly more than all the other strings on a sixstring when brought to pitch.
Karloff
I was completely new to them as well until a few weeks ago. I really like them.
Gearhead88
I like them too , my Firebird is the first guitar I've owned that has those tuners.
