jaygl
I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it really bothers you feel wise when you play. I think if you wet sanded it with a really fine grit sand paper you could probably smooth it out some, but you may take some finish or clear coat off if your not careful. Also, unoficial forum rule is pics or it didn't happen, so, lets see some full pics of that beauty SG....

Mr. C.O. Jones
Hello guy's. I don't know how deep the scraches are but I had lot's of pick/fingernail marks on my LP's top. It was a satin finish and I wanted to make it a little more shiny too. Ordered Virtuoso polish and cleaner, and both problems solved. Maybe a bit of polish and a few minuts of good ol' elbow grease can make it smoother for you. I bet at least it will be a lot better after the treatment. And don't worry it is nitrosafe. This is on the day that I bought it. And this is how it looks now, as you can see, still all the finish on it. I don't work with or for Virtuoso, just a happy customer. carranoj25
Can you attach a link to the correct Virtuoso polish you recommend? I guess you put a little amount on an all cotton cloth and just smooth over the neck?
Mr. C.O. Jones
Ok here it is: http://www.virtuosopolish.com Instructions are on the page too, but you where pretty right with your guess. And combined with the cleaner it should give the best result's.
