MrHaroldA
I've bought an '81 Ibanez AR50, which has an unidentified pickup in it's bridge. * Semi-clear epoxy resin * Adjustable pole pieces (rules out the Ibanez Super80) * Two braided wires * Worn gold cover * No visible markings/logo/etc Does anybody recognize this pickup? btoth76
Hello and welcome to the Forums! They look like Gibson tar-backs... ...however, check the DC resistance. They can be Super Humbuckers or early Dirty Fingers. Both are tar-backs. Cheers... Bence
MrHaroldA
I finally got the chance to measure DC resistance! :D I had to do it without desoldering, but the bridge pickup measured 15.8 kOhm. The Lollar Imperial low wound at the neck position measures 7.9 kOhm.
