iommifan
I just recently bought an SG 50's Tribute from Sam Ash. It came with the tuneomatic bridge that had allen screw adjustments for the string height and for the intonation. It seems unusual to me. The guitar is also brand new. How could that have ended up on there. No complaints about it, just seems strange.

Pesh
Hi iommifan. The newer Gibson bridges feature these special little bits to help adjustments, as you've pointed out. They're a relatively recent change, but quite useful.
iommifan
Thanks for your help. This is like the third 50's tribute I have owned, but this is the first with that type of bridge, pretty cool.
Greg1967
My SG 70's Tribute has allen screws as well. I kind of like that. Using an allen wrench I feel I am not being as aggressive when intonating the guitar as opposed to using a small screw driver.
