mateo t Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 I got a Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power (all maple guitar). Love the heft and the feel and the acoustic sound but sadly can't get into the Classic '57 pickups despite all my desire. (Maybe the Classic Plus would be more my speed.) I love Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols' guitar sound and the Gibson signature model is a Gibson LP Custom with 496/498's in it. Anybody put this combo in their LP before, much less an all-maple Les Paul? Does it give you the full on rock sound that Jones got? (Any other pickup swaps people did in a Raw Power?)
