the dog Posted May 19, 2015 Share Posted May 19, 2015 heard on the radio today that Steve Miller's (the Joker) parents were good friends with Les Paul and Mary Ford and that Les Paul gave his first guitar lesson to a young Steve Miller.... pippy Posted May 19, 2015 Share Posted May 19, 2015 It's my understanding (from Gil Hembree's Gibson book) that Steve's father and mother were Best Man and Maid of Honour at the marriage of Les Paul and Mary Ford and, furthermore, I believe that Les and Mary were Steve's God Parents sort-of as a return 'thankyou'.
