txcbm
I've got a J-45 on the way!! My first Gibson. I'm a bit of a pickguard "snob", so to speak. I've used Greven Tor-Tis on my Martins, but that material is getting hard to find. Can y'all give me some names of people that y'all have used for replacement Gibson pickguards? Thanks in advance for any information.
Fullmental Alpinist
Congrats on the J-45, txcbm. This link was posted here just the other day and was highly recommended if I remember correctly: Gibson pickguards (Custom Guitar Supplies).
txcbm
Congrats on the J-45, txcbm. This link was posted here just the other day and was highly recommended if I remember correctly: Gibson pickguards (Custom Guitar Supplies). Thank you! Those look great, but they don't even list one for a J-45. The search continues...
Fullmental Alpinist
Might want to contact them and see if that "Custom" in their name really means it. They've probably made a few J-45 pickguards before.

j45nick
Here's another good source: terrapin They do a variety of materials, including real celluloid.
Mickthemiller
I've made a few one off pickguards in my time for acoustics, teles, even a jaguar and I normally buy the sheets of material on line from Ebay. There are some very nice tortie patterns (in lots of colours) available but no one as yet has made a fire stripe. I have often wondered why is as I am sure it would sell very well.
