BadMoFo
I have a 1979 Silverburst Les Paul Custom that does NOT have a MADE IN USA Stamp on the back of the headstock. Can anyone tell me why?
Mr. C.O. Jones
On my LPJ it is almost invisible, it's very lightly stamped. And LPJ's have satin finishes. I guess if the same would have happend to a model like yours with much more laquer the stamping would be buried under nitro-coating! Maybe they just forgot to stamp yours. But I wouldn't worry I don't think that it could be a fake, never seen a chibson without stamping! If it plays well and sounds good, just enjoy it!
