sqt_pl
Hi, I'm going to buy SG, but I have problem with identifying. I'm confused about the inscription on the head: "Les Paul model". I searched the Internet and did not find similar guitar. Please help in identification. Best Regards, Andrzej
merciful-evans
I'm confused too. It also has a Seymour Duncan pickup. Presumably the serial number will be of some help to an expert? I'm no expert but it looks like a bit of a mongrel, albeit a nice looking one.
old guy
I am not a SG expert by any means, i have always played Les Pauls. I have seen the same head stock as yours on some older SG's, i think it was like a 61 or 62 maybe, and on some reissues of earlier models. according the the serial # you fiddle was made in: Nashville Plant, TN, USA October 12, 2007 Production Number: 99 Looks like someone swapped out the bridge pickup and swapped out the factory tuners as well. looks like maybe it has a after market truss rod plate on it. Don't base your purchase on my comment though. one of the SG guys on here can probably tell you more. if you play it and it sounds and plays nice, that should be your deciding factor.
